Two photos of a bromelia
sold a little while back to a Spanish owned hotel in Copacabana. They're made into 8 feet wide stickers that are applied to a huge plate of glass (actually, they had to divide each photo into two plates because they couldn't cut a plate that was big enough!)
Pedra portuguesa is the famous Portuguese stone that lines the streets of Rio. People shape use them to shape the sidewalks into creative mosaics - each beach in Rio has its own. Thus, the iconic sidewalk of Copacabana. They do, however, go a bit overboard and use it frickin' everywhere, even downtown in the commercial district. The girls love walking on it with their high heeled shoes, especially in the rain when these huge puddles start forming - I guess this is a reason why everybody jokes that the Portuguese are a bit mentally challenged...
