On Tuesday Ana and I started working on "Curta na Praça," a project developed by Juliana Teixeira of Bossa Nova Produções. Its main sponsor is the LAMSA (Linha Amarela S.A.), and the events will be held in low-income communities along the Linha Amarela (Cidade de Deus, Maré, Agua Santa, Águia de Ouro, etc).
We are doing the Still Photography and our job is to produce the images for the press releases, news reports... the general promotion of the event. In the end we're going to put together a short movie of images from the 9 day event.
The first screening took place at a municipal (public) school called Brigadeiro Faria Lima and all the images in this post are from there.
A big screen was set up and four short films were shown to the kids. They loved it:
