Rain, Rain, Go Away...

I have a friend who is a photographer and came to Rio for a month to photograph and relax and enjoy the tropical sun. The day he arrived in March the sun decided to disappear and for almost the entire period that my friend was here it was overcast and rainy.

I couldn't believe it... he came from the Pacific Northwest and he brought the gloomy weather with him. He left last week on a Thursday and since that day we have had spectaculously gorgeous weather (except for a couple of tropical storms). I don't know what this says about his luck or his standing with São Pedro, but I've been enjoying the good weather. So much that I decided to take my camera out to the beach and make some photos.

Two things are for certain:

(a) Rio sucks when it's rainy
(b) Rio is an incredibly picturesque city when the sky is blue and the weather is sweet
